Belarus Autism Conference

I had the privilege of leading a team of American experts (behavior analyst, occupational therapist, and speech-language pathologist) to Belarus. We worked with a local humanitarian organization to build capacity of Belarusian schools to support children with disabilities. We supplied five days of training and technical assistance to specialists who work with children with autism and other developmental disabilities and their parents. We taught specialists to use the VB MAPP assessment and intervention planning system as well as how to teach basic and advanced communication skills. When possible, I got my students involved in making instructional materials to donate to schools.
